Update from Louis-Philippe via text
It's a beautiful day today, dry heat with sunshine. Bad snow conditions though are making it very hard, in fact outright dangerous to take the very high route along the Tatras.
We have been advised to backtrack a bit, this means a big increase in the distance but the route will be more manageable.
It was a hard decision but as any explorer knows safety comes first. The slightly lower altitude route with eventually take us through the Tatras forest and park.

Dziś mieliśmy świetną pogodę: sucho, ciepło i słonecznie. Ale mimo to złe warunki śniegowe czynią trasę bardzo trudną, tak naprawdę najwyższa trasa w Tatrach jest bardzo niebezpieczna.
Doradzono nam zawrócić i wybrać trasę 'na około', co oznaczałoby znacznie dłuższą, ale i łatwiejszą drogę.
To była bardzo trudna decyzja, ale każdy podróżnik wie, że bezpieczeństwo jest najważniejsze. Szlak na odrobinę niższej wysokości zawiódł nas do tatrzańskich lasów.
