Next day they walked to the valley of the 5 Polish lakes, planning to climb to the highest and longest ridge which is very rocky. They met a young guy who was planning an alternate route to the summit. He said to Louis-Philippe and Tomasz that he would check in with the local mountain rescue service regarding the conditions. A little while later he rushed back to where the guys were to tell them that the advice was not to attempt the summit as was very dangerous, covered in snow but with strong sunshine producing deadly conditions as could loose footing and slip a long way down.
